Our Introduction to Bladesmithing class is a hands-on experience designed for students who are ready to move beyond basic forging and learn the fundamentals of creating a usable blade.
Bladesmithing requires more precision, control, and attention to detail than general blacksmithing. You’ll learn how to properly heat and manipulate the steel, establish the blade’s shape and bevels, control thickness, and work toward creating a functional cutting edge.
Why is this a 5-hour class?
This class is approximately 5 hours long because that is what it takes to properly forge a functional blade.
