Our Blacksmithing Fundamentals class is designed for beginners who want to experience the satisfaction of working hot steel with a hammer and anvil. Whether you’ve always wanted to try blacksmithing, are looking for a unique hands-on experience, or are interested in learning a new craft, this class is a great place to start.
During the class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of working with hot steel, including fire management, heating metal, hammer control, basic forging techniques, and how to shape steel on the anvil. Our experienced instructor will guide you through each step and help you develop the skills and confidence to work safely at the forge.
Most importantly, you’ll actually get to forge! This isn’t a class where you simply watch a demonstration. You’ll spend time at the forge, work the steel, and put the techniques you learn…
